Since the release of our cashback app, GreenJinn, on the App Store back in late September last year, we’ve been working hard to improve our service for our users. After the initial release on iPhone, we were met with a huge demand for an Android version of the app. And so, in December, we released a limited beta version of the app for Android. This was to make sure everything was working properly (we wouldn’t want you guys to have a broken app ?). We also created the GreenJinn Insiders Facebook group, so that our most active users could tell us everything needing improvement. With the help of our users and developers, we made the finishing touches and GreenJinn was made available on the Google Play Store.
On the first day of the Android release, we reached Google’s limit of 1,000 downloads! Now, 8 months on, we have over 40,000 users. What we’ve learned is that you don’t need a huge budget to get people excited about your app, you just need to care about your users! Here at GreenJinn, we take a user-driven approach: we really care about helping you save money on your grocery shopping in the easiest and quickest way possible. Sounds like generic business speak, doesn’t it? But it’s not! How you get on with the app really matters to us, and it seems that you’ve been liking it 😉 That’s why we’re always striving to make the app as user-friendly as possible. And only provide cashback on the best products!
As we work on growing the app and expanding the GreenJinn community, we wanted to check in with our users and see what they think…
User Satisfaction Results
Recently, we asked users a few questions through our survey to find out exactly how they’ve been getting on with the GreenJinn app. For us, the main talking points were: what our users like about the app, what they value the most about our service and of course, what can be improved upon to make the app better. Also, we looked through all of your reviews on the App Store/ Google Play Store. Here’s a summary of all the feedback we collected…
We didn’t just do this survey for our egos, we’ve taken our users’ feedback on board and will be making improvements to the app and our service over the next month. Here’s exactly what we’ll be doing:
1. Working with more brands and supermarkets to give our users a wider choice of coupons ?
2. Improving the app design – bigger images/ better coupon descriptions?
3. Developing the personalisation of coupons?
