This summer we are seeing reports of food vouchers being cut completely or reduced in amount they are worth.

Parents are having to resort to local food banks which is putting enormous demand on these charities who are already seeing less food donations coming in. 

We still have weeks before kids go back to school and parents are really struggling. 

This summer we are providing extra offers on kid friendly products as well as fruit and veg (the first to go with rising costs). We want to make sure that kids can have healthy and nutritious foods this summer.

Give it a go!

Serves 4 (makes 4 individual pizzas), takes 45 minutes

Odysea crushed tomatoes
600g plain yoghurt (we used coconut collab yoghurt on the app right now!)
400g plain flour
2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
A ball of mozzarella, torn into chunks
Salt and pepper
Olive oil

1️⃣ Mix the flour and plain yoghurt until it combines to form a rough mass.

2️⃣ Add the salt and keep mixing until you have a smooth elastic dough. This will probably take about 10 mins total mixing. Divide into 4 balls and leave to rest on a floured tray while you make the sauce.

3️⃣ Put a saucepan on a medium heat. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, along with the garlic slices and a pinch of salt. Cook gently for a couple of minutes until the garlic starts to colour and starts getting crispy. Take the garlic slices out with a slotted spoon and drain on some kitchen paper. Keep them for later.

4️⃣ Keep the reserved oil (it will be nice and garlicky now!) And add a tin of Odysea chopped tomatoes. Add a pinch of salt, a good grind of pepper and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 20 minutes ideally (or as long as you can!)

5️⃣ Once ready, heat a frying pan over a medium high heat and preheat your grill on high. For each individual pizza, stretch your dough out on a well floured surface and place into your frying pan.

6️⃣ Spoon on 3 tablespoons of the tomato sauce and spread across the base. Top with chunks of mozzarella. You can also add any other toppings you like at this point!

7️⃣ Cook until the base is golden and crispy, about 3 mins, then place under the grill for another 2 or 3 mins until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbling. Finish with a scattering of your crispy garlic slices.\Feeling the pinch recently?
