Last Tuesday was World Vegan Day! World Vegan Day is when vegans around the world can celebrate their lifestyle and diet and educate people about the benefits of a vegan diet!😍 

Around the globe, World Vegan Day is commemorated through exhibitions, seminars, public debates and workshops. 

November is World Vegan Month, which was established in 1994 to celebrate the forward movement of veganism and to honour the 50th anniversary of The Vegan Society. The date was picked in line with Halloween and Day of the Dead to commemorate the animals who have died to help the unnecessary aspects of human life. 

World Vegan Month hosts celebrations and festivals that helps bring vegans together while discussing ways to replace meat with bacon, sausage, and even honey and butter substitutes which were made so vegans can embrace their diet without giving up any necessary nutrients.💚

It is a global debate whether or not veganism is good or healthy for you. However, there are so many benefits that come along with a vegan diet!

Benefits of a vegan diet:

💚Lower risk of heart disease 

🍓Vegan diets are very rich in nutrients

How you can participate in Vegan Month: 

We recommend that you check to see if there are any vegan events being organised in your area. This is a great way to engage with the vegan community local to you and there are likely to be more events held during World Vegan Month.
